Join the AIIA Young Professionals Network and the Institute of Public Administration Australia to hear Chris McKay present a paper on International Trade: Emerging Developments and Prospective Outlook.
Chris is an experienced economist, a Senior Analyst in the Department of Treasury's revenue forecasting team and lead author of the paper. The paper considers recent developments in global trade, in particular the US trade policy under the Trump administration and the current US-China trade dispute. It also examines several scenarios of how the trade dispute and other developments might play out, including the mining revenue and economic implications for Western Australia, and the medium to long term trade environment for Western Australia.
