April Event: Panel discussion on the French Presidential Election

18:00 – 20:00 Tue, 18 Apr 2017
Jull Common Room, St Catherine's College, 2 Park Road, Crawley (opposite UWA)

As the world comes to terms with the implications of Brexit and the recent US presidential election, attention is focussed on the upcoming presidential election in France.

Will French voters follow the trend set in the UK and US and elect the far-right candidate Marine Le Pen? Or will they resist the populist trend, as voters in the recent election in the Netherlands have done, and choose the charismatic Justin Trudeau-like Emmanuel Macron instead?

Please join us to discuss the upcoming landmark election and hear our panelists elaborate on the implications that the result may have for France, Europe and the world.
